Heath came home from work yesterday and we needed to leave to go to my Daddy's house.  Luke, Heath and myself and LillyAnne got ready and Levi and Londyn were still out playing.  He asked, "Where are Levi and Londyn?" I said, "I don't know. The bunnies escaped and they asked if they could go around the neighborhood and look for them and I said yes."   Heath got in the car to go get them. He told me that when he found them they had found 2 of the rabbits and were pushing them down the road in LillyAnne's pink stroller and going door to door RINGING PEOPLE'S DOORBELLS and asking if they had seen a rabbit!

The other day I let them ride their bikes to the swamp and apparently Londyn fell off her bike and they rang someone's doorbell and asked the person for a band aid.   We have had to have a little talk about ringing people's doorbells.  Aren't these people lucky to have us in their neighborhood?
We took a trip to the beach.

We went to see Daddy's new horse.

We went to Texas Road House afterwards and LillyAnne quite enjoyed the cinnamon butter.

A post about nothing that isn't even worth reading until you get to the end and then it could change your life.....forever.

I hear there is a drought in the rest of the country.  Not so here in Milton!  It has rained almost every day since before the fourth of July!  This is the wettest summer I have ever seen, also the mildest.  Last night when I was on my way home from the store (at 11:45pm) I felt a promise of fall.  It was 72 degrees!  In the middle of August!  Who has even heard of such things in Florida?

The three oldest children have been going to vacation Bible school for the past two weeks.  The loved it.  They went to two different churches.  The children are quite disappointed that it's all.  I'm a tad relieved.  It's more than I am used to to get the children clean, in presentable clothes and on time to a place every day for two weeks!  (Sad but true.)  Then today we could have stayed home all day, but I got them dressed and we went to the library.  Luke loves the library.  He loves books.  Levi and Londyn love the library too.  They love to pile up the bean bags and reading cushion things and run and leap on them.    :/    LillyAnne loves to race up and down all the book isles and giggle.  That is fine with me though because her racing is only as fast as me walking.  Such tiny sweet legs.  I just keep waiting to get the stink-eye from the librarian.  And oh I get it at the Milton library,  those ladies think we are the devil.  However, at the Pace library I have yet to ever "get in trouble".  They just act like my children are sweet.  I prefer the Pace library.

I'm super excited that it's Friday.  Heath will be leaving work in about 30 minutes and we have big plans for the weekend....date night, yard work and a beach trip.  Life is good and I am so very thankful.

P.S.  If you want an AMAZING snack just mix equal parts (I just eyeball it and guess.) of cream cheese and marshmallow fluff and dip it with strawberries or pineapple.  It's delicious and we have been eating it every day for a while.   Try it....it's as close as perfect as you can get this side of Heaven.......okay, that is totally not true....BUT it's really yummy.

Oh yes, and also we had a huge water balloon fight.  It was great fun, but it left me with very sore fingers.

Every night at the second week of vbs they painted the children's faces.
 Doesn't Luke look creepy?
See?  We went to the library!

pics

I turned 33 and we went to Chuck E. Cheese...because you know I just LOVE Chuck E. Cheese.

And I bought a slip and slide for my birthday...because you know I just LOVE slip and slides.

But you won't see any pics of me on it, becuse I didn't get on it, because I turned 33 remember?  And even if I did get on it you still wouldn't see any pics of me, for reasons that will remain unsaid.

And the picture of the 5 people on top is just there because they are my favorite 5 people in the world, and this is my blog, so they just pop up a lot, because I'm the one who makes this blog.
Miss. Londyn Renee' lost her first tooth.  I can't believe how much and how fast she is growing up.

This one is the last picture we ever got of her with all her baby teeth.

Newcomb Update

We have had a great weekend.  Heath has started taking off every Saturday and Sunday and I love it.  It is so great to have him home more.

This weekend I got my hair cut for the first time since before Thanksgiving!  Isn't that crazy?  The lady cut off a little more than I wanted her too, but she probably needed to since it had been so long.

I also went to the horse sale.  My Daddy bought a buckskin mare that is so wild you can't even touch her.  Today he told me that he gave her a bath and started teaching her to lead.  He said "she has a head fulla sense" so that's always nice.  She is very pretty and has some impressive bloodlines.  That's the reason he bought her.

I hadn't been to a horse sale since we moved back to Milton.  I was really excited about going.  When I came home from getting my hair cut Heath met me at the door and said, "We have a problem."  I said, "What is it?"  He said our neighbor came by and invited us to an "Olympics party" at their house that night, and all our children wanted to go.  Bummer.  I told him I didn't want to go to an "Olympics party".  He said he already knew.  So instead he would take me to La Hacienda for supper and then I could go to the horse sale with my Daddy and Nema and Aunt Martha and he would take all the children to the "Olympics party".

DEAL

So that's what we did.  Usually we all go up there together and then all the rest of my family gets tired of it and they wind up leaving me there to hitch a ride home with my Daddy.  It's pretty ridiculous if you ask me.  Why do I even like to go??  It is a place where the most redneck people on the planet get together to auction off junk and livestock.

I.  LOVE.  IT.

Well, Daddy did buy me a new lead rope for Star, a new cowboy wall hanging thing for Levi's room and a new rug for my house. What's not to love?  And horse sale food is the absolute best.

Then today we went to the creek.  It was nice.  We ate fast food on the way to the creek, so you can imagine my dismay when we were getting in the van to leave, and before we could even buckle up they were all talking about how they were STARVING.  That happens every single time we go swimming.  We came home and ate pancakes and bacon and grapes for supper.

Aren't you so happy that you have read all the way down to here and I'm letting you know what we had for supper tonight?  Lucky you.   One of these days I'm going to learn how to be a blogger the likes of which you have never seen before......but until then, just take a look at these adorable pics!

Sometimes I wonder if my kingdom is a little too chaotic.

Home is the wife and mothers true kingdom. There, first of all places, she must be strong and beautiful. She may touch life outside in many ways, if she can do it without slighting the duties that are hers within her own doors. But if any calls for her service must be declined, they should not be the duties of her home. These are hers, and no other one’s. Very largely does the wife hold in her hands, as a sacred trust, the happiness and the highest good of the hearts that nestle there. The best husband – the truest, the noblest, the gentlest, the richest-hearted – cannot make his home happy if his wife be not, in every reasonable sense, a helpmate to him.

I really think it's time for another blog update but I can't think of anything to say so I'll just talk about the weather

It looks like a rainy day here.  There have been dark clouds all morning.  It sounds like a rainy day here.  The wind is blowing hard, the lightening is flashing, the thunder is rolling.  But it's just a sprinkling kind of day.  It keeps sprinkling and then stopping.

We let the rabbits out of their cage because "they only had a few minutes before the bottom drops out".  We put them away when the sprinkling started.

I brought the trash can in.

I lit a candle because I light candles on rainy days.

I sent the children outside to jump on the trampoline "while they still can".

We are cleaning the house because I love a clean house when it's rainy.  (Well, technically I'm not cleaning house.  I'm writing a blog and have employed my precious children to clean my house for me.  heh heh)

When the bottom finally does "fall out" it is going to be long anticipated and well prepared for because we have been preparing for the rain for about two hours.  Now I'm starting to doubt that it will rain at all.  Then the jokes on me huh?  I was all responsible for NOTHING.

Hey!  Guess what?!?  RIGHT NOW it's beginning to rain.  I suppose I'm smarter than I was giving myself credit for.

Now...what to do on a rainy day while we are all trapped in the house with Levi who as of late loves nothing more than whistling.....
